Grant funding
I am particularly adept at sourcing and securing external funding for small organisations. Funding streams have become less readily available, but there are still opportunities if you know where to look. It can seem a complicated process, but I offer expert guidance to your organisation – from the inception of a project idea right up to submitting funding bids. Sometimes it helps simply knowing what kind of grants are out there, finding the best funding-match possible or just how to go about submitting multiple applications.
With a proven track record and success rate, I will help your organisation source and attract much-needed funding. As a skilled writer I am able to tailor successful funding bids to reflect each organisation or project’s distinct attributes. I have a wide-ranging experience of producing specialist reports and business plans. I also present convincing funding applications and supporting evidence to make your bid stand out from other applicants. I will never submit a funding application unless I am confident it can be successful.
I can also develop bespoke Funding Strategies specifically for your organisation. These easy-to-use plans will identify all the relevant funding sources available and set out a ‘road-map’ for how to go about obtaining a package of grants to meet your funding needs.
Project management –
including Procurement and Consultation
Much of my career has included managing a wide range of projects, so I know that the process of transforming your project ideas into firm or viable proposals can be a daunting prospect. I can support your organisation through complicated Procurement procedures, developing Business Plans and ensuring effective Consultation & Engagement.
Many organisations benefit from some experienced external support and advice; particularly before embarking on a significant project or programme of work. I can support with a range of expertise, including planning, budgeting and developing tenders – all key elements of project management.
I have an innovative perspective on developing schemes to help convey your vision, ideas, goals and issues. As a result I can provide you with expert advice to develop a broad scope of projects, all with positive outcomes. I will also offer a fresh perspective on your project, how it fits with your organisation’s aims and ensure the most efficient use of resources.
Another key element of Project Management is good stakeholder management. Levels of community interaction vary with each initiative, but my work to raise community awareness includes; developing a range of innovative interpretation strategies, public events, activities, promotional literature, utilising social media and helping deal with the media.
Training and Facilitation
Alongside my funding and project management work, both my strong communication skills and impartial style have enabled me to develop and deliver bespoke training courses on a range of topics. These are tailored to smaller organisations such as Town or Parish Councils, Charities and Community Groups. The popularity of these sessions has led me to work with a growing number of County Associations of Local Councils throughout England.
Likewise I offer facilitation services; especially for organisations holding team-days or reviewing important strategy decisions. Feedback to my work has commended my ability to develop a rapport with teams, understand group dynamics, listen discerningly to views and constructively handle difficult situations.
